Multi-Layer Security Across Hardware, Network, and Cloud
Our approach to IoT data protection is holistic. ioX-Connect safeguards information at every stage of transmission and storage — encrypting data at the device, gateway, and cloud level. With Microsoft Azure’s secure infrastructure, robust redundancy protocols, and a dedicated cybersecurity response team, your data is continuously monitored, verified, and protected against threats.
Every ioX-Connect RF based sensor uses proprietary Encryption with ECDH-256 key exchange and AES-128 encryption to protect wireless data transmissions from eavesdropping or tampering.
All LoRaWAN Sensors and Devices includes AES-128 encryption by default, using two keys:
- Network Session Key (NwkSKey): protects message integrity between the device and the network server.
- Application Session Key (AppSKey): ensures confidentiality between device and application server.
ioX-Connect gateways run on purpose-built embedded firmware, eliminating vulnerabilities found in generic OS-based devices. No open listeners or third-party access points ensure data isolation and integrity.
Each customer operates within a dedicated Microsoft Azure SQL database, protected by firewalls, Defender for SQL, and IP-restricted access. This tenant isolation ensures full privacy and regulatory compliance.
ioX-Connect implements automated backups, geo-restore, and geo-replication to ensure data continuity even during regional outages or disasters.
A dedicated Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) monitors for threats 24/7, following a five-step protocol: identification, containment, elimination, recovery, and refinement.
ioX-Connect aligns with SOC, CIS, and GDPR standards to uphold data integrity and privacy. This commitment extends to secure user authentication, password policies, and continuous system audits.
